Embrace your uniqueness

You have the ability, personality and experience required to run in your lane and fulfill your dreams. You were not born to be a photocopy but created to be an original. Stop spending your time looking back. You will never move forward if you’re always looking in your rear view mirror. The past is past; yesterday is gone and will never again be repeated in the history of your life. You have a blank canvas presented to you every day to use in creating the life you want. You are the only one with the power to make your life beautiful. Be the poem you have dreamt of writing. Get involved in developing the movie of your life. You are the main character in this movie, so make it a great movie. Today you have the opportunity to move beyond negative self-talk and self-imposed limitation to design the life you want. You have the tools in shaping the life you have imagined so go out there and prove to yourself that is possible when you dare to try! Be true to yourself and start making each day extraordinary.

“Don’t compare yourself with anyone in this world... if you do so, you are insulting yourself.” ~ Bill Gates

Here is a statement I want you to remember for the rest of your life, “If you are still alive, your life matters.” Your birth is a statement in its own right, saying your life matters. Your uniqueness is what makes you different from everyone else. You are made up of your emotions, feelings, thoughts, behaviors and attitudes. You are not what people say you are, what people want you to be, but rather what you were born to be and accomplish. You are unique and there will never be another you. Deepak Chopra wrote, “Each of us is a unique strand in the intricate web of life and here to make a contribution.” Steve Jobs came and changed our world and how we relate with computers and technology. There will never be another Steve Jobs. You are special in your own ways and your uniqueness is suited to do a specific thing. What are you suited for? I believe it’s a big mistake to want to be like someone else. If you were meant to be like someone else you will not be you. I like the words of Ivan E. Coyote which says, “I am a rare species, not a stereotype.” Embracing your uniqueness is the beginning of freedom and using your power to have it all.

You are unique and exclusive. You are in a league of your own to live life the way you have imagined it. You are only one of a kind in the entire world so explore your uniqueness in the achievement of your dreams. A lot of people are copy cats and therefore are not able to be, do and have more, and achieve all their goals. Wanting to be someone else will create an inferiority complex and conflict in your mind. Why would you like to be a copy when you can be an original? Why not embrace your distinctiveness? You have a unique role to play in the universe and in the grand scheme of things. You might have significantly and positively impacted someone’s life without even knowing it. Nobody can look at life through the exact same lenses as you do.
